Your comments remind me that on the rare occasions when I met Ron during my time with the Directorate, he always conducted himself in a calm, warm and very professional manner.

Very sorry to belatedly hear of the death of Ron Barrell, although I had heard from other sources. I took over the UHF lab from him at CCE and he was a very hard act to follow. His lab was absolutely impeccable.

It is with sad regret to announce that DTELS.org has been advised of the sudden death of Ron Barrell. His untimely passing is believed to have occured on Sunday 13th February 2005.

No further details are available.
