Hello Alan
The only way I have of putting you in contact with Robins wife is via Mike Brain. However, I am away from home for some days now dealing with a personal matter and I don't have Mike's telephone number to hand. If you drop me an email I will see if I can get it tomorrow and reply accordingly.

Robin Hughes
Extremely sad news. Robin was a great mentor to me as he designed, in conjunction with IAL, the Communications Control Centre at the Police National Computer at Hendon that I took over as TTO B for operational management. Technically and in business terms very shrewd and a very pleasant man, approachable and always available for a chat and a beer. His death must have been untimely as I would guess that he would only be in his middle to late 60s. If any further information is available as to funeral arrangements or contacts, I would personally appreciate it.

ROBIN HUGHES
It is with sad regret to announce that DTELS.org has been advised today by Mike Brain of the untimely death of Robin Hughes last weekend (10/11th December).
For a period of time during the mid 1970's onwards, Robin was Deputy Director of Engineering, later to be known as Static Systems and then DTELS Engineering Consultancy. During my early days at Maintenance Planning Unit from 1983 onwards I found him to be a very approachable and likeable gentleman. Unfortunately, I do not have any further details on Robin's past history other than to direct you to three articles in the Intercom Journals in which he appeared, details as follows:
Intercom Journal No.8/Page 5, No.9/Page 6, No.12/Page 29
As of the date of this announcement (13th December) no further details are available. Our sympathy is extended to his wife Ellen and his immediate family.
