I'm sad to advise the passing of Norman Jacobs (Jake) on the 29th January 2015 aged 90. Jake joined the Home office after being demobbed from the RAF and was well known throughout Shapwick region. He initially joined as the depot vehicle mechanic then migrated to general stores delivery driver after the Home Office reorganised vehicle maintenance.
Jake married late in life and leaves a wife but no children. He was always cheerful and will be sadly missed.
