I was sad to hear about the passing of Eddie. He was one of the first techs. I met when I moved to Cranbrook in 1983, he had a likeable personality and was pleased to help regardless of the problem, he helped me out several times when my car was giving problems. He would telephone me from time to time and keep me abreast with things that were happening in the Cranbrook Region.
I am sure Eddie will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

Re: Eddie Mole
So sorry to hear this;I worked at Cranbrook with Eddie whist the three Freds were there and Eddie added much to those great times. Subsequently I met Eddie at Cranbrook during Bob's tenure as manager. A very sad loss of a truly great guy....R.I.P. Eddie

Hi Everyone
This post is being made by Eddies son Tony, who also worked at Cranbrook when the three Freds were there.
Sadly the news is true. The 'Old Man' passed away at home with his wife Thelma by his side.
He had been struggling for some time with ill health, having had several heart attacks earlier this year, followed by major heart surgery, all complicated by respiratory problems. Paramedics were called to the house just after midnight and did the best that they could to resucitate him.
It is likely to be a couple of weeks before we can pass on funeral arrangements as we have to wait for the post-mortem results.
If anyone would like to get in touch with me to be kept informed please feel free to email me contact details and I will of course get back in touch. I wont post my personal number on here, but I will ring anyone who sends me their details.
My email address is tony@themoles.co.uk
Kind Regards to all
Tony

Re: Eddie Mole
I knew Eddie well, he was one of the main stays of Cranbrook depot. I can remember Eddie, Fred Pickard and me going out in heavy snow to rescue a team stuck at Cossington. Plus us working together in the PC workshop. He was a good guy with a keen sense of humour and would help anybody that needed assistance. Very sad news. RIP Eddie
