'This building was originally the vehicle mechanics service bay. All but one of the entrances have been bricked up, replaced the old wooden bi-folding doors. Each bay had its own access pit. These have been concreted over. The new building to the left is the stores, which has access to the old service bay via a fresh opening which was cut through the left hand end wall.
Before construction of the new stores could take place, an enormous amount of earth and stone had to be excavated to make way for the new building. Even back in those days, we were recycling, as the earth and stone was used to level off some ground for additional car parking at the local Scout Camp at Bispham Hall.'
