Portakabins

1985; the huts (green Portakabins) were originally built to house the Mobile Automatic Data Experiment (MADE) experiment referred to on Page 22 of Intercom 1.

The Left Hand (LH) cabin contained the computer and RF equipment, the Right Hand (RH) cabin was the office/workshop.

After MADE ceased, the installation team were evicted from the
bottom workshop in the main building and made a new home in the RH workshop. The LH cabin became a junk store...!

When construction of the new building was due to start the RH cabin was craned up and placed on the grass behind/outside the RWE's office, which must have somewhat spoilt the view for him! The installation team continued to use the hut until the demolition men were called.
