Believed to have been based at CCE Harrow, these vehicles were used in the time of emergencies to provide temporary radio communication services, which are thought to have included radio system control, control to hilltop linking, hilltop broadcast and associated portable and system ancillaries.
The vehicle to the far left with the six element antenna suggests this vehicle was used to provide VHF High Band linking.
