Winter 1978/79; the start of the long walk to the Brown Clee, Shropshire, site. During the 1970's some of the snow falls during the winter months made the service road to the site impassable, made worse by the 1:5 climb from the country lane. The walk was thought to have been in the region of one mile and required staff to carry a fair amount of heavy test equipment. It certainly toned up the arm muscles!
