No.10 - 11th December 2006

Welcome to the 5th and Final Ramblings for 2006 Hello and welcome to the site and thank you for your continued support. Bigger plea for Material! Since my November ramblings, I have braved the confines of my garage loft area, not an easy task. Much muttering and expletives were heard as I kept bang...

JANET RUSSELL (CA - CRANBROOK DEPOT)

From: Eddie Mole

Sadly, Janet Russell passed away in November 2006. She was the Clerical Assistant (CA) at Cranbrook Depot since the days of the RWE John Harris, until she was made redundant when DTELS was sold to NTL.

New Contact e-Mail Addresses

Due to a high level of unwanted SPAM to the e-mail addresses given throughout this site, it has been necessary to change them with effect from today, Friday 6th October 2006. Until I can put in place alternative arrangements, hopefully when the new look website goes live on Monday 15th November 2006...

No.8 - 23rd April 2006

Welcome to the third of my rambling letters for 2006 With Easter behind us and now enjoying the spring weather and new growth everywhere, it is time for me to concentrate on other projects. Hence, there will be no further updates to this site until November 2006. In looking back over the last six m...

NTLPA Update

As mentioned in my 12th March newsletter, one of the changes for me this year is that I am now a co-opted member of the NTLPA (originally known as ntlRA before the name change in November 2005). In addition to being a co-opted committee member, I have also taken on the responsibility of running the ...

Hi Kevin

Thanks for the updates Kevin, very useful. I was aware that a few of the 'old boys' are still working at Arqiva, including yourself and Martin Swift. I have communicated with Dave W recently. I know he is busy these days, but hoping to catch up for an chat when he gets the chance. Also, as you will ...

Time Out Magazine Station Z Article

In early January 2006, Alan Copperwaite sent me an email drawing my attention to the fact that the extract from the Harrow Observer referring to Harrow and 'Station Z' was derived from an article in Time Out by Duncan Campbell, who was doing various exposures of Civil Defence issues at that time. Re...

No.7 - 12th March 2006

Welcome to the second of my rambling letters for 2006. Life is moving on at a pace this year, already in March, daylight hours are getting longer and Spring is in the air - hooray. For many DTELS employees, the onset of Spring is a poignant reminder that 12 years has passed by since ntl acquired DT...
