Eric Hobbs, who was a Wireless Mechanic in the Radiac Section of Marley Hill during his time with the Directorate has recently passed away. Details of his death as published on the Evening Chronicle website are reproduced as follows: -
HOBBS (Stanley). On 29th June, aged 78 years, Eric, beloved husband of the late Vera, much loved dad of Christine and Susan, father-in-law to David and dearly loved grandad of David and Michael. Eric will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Please meet for service at Tanfield Methodist Church on Monday 6th July at 1.15pm, prior to cremation at Mountsett Crematorium. All welcome back for refreshments to the R.A.F.A. Club.
