JOHN STANISLAUS (WIRELESS TECHNICIAN - ROMSLEY)

Sad news I'm afraid - John Stanislaus died last Thursday (12th March). Many will remember him as a larger-than-life character. He suffered quite a serious stroke a few years ago, which left him largely immobile. We have no more information at present.

Following John's stroke he was confined to a wheelchair. During those years I understand he never lost his sense of humour. He and Cyril Alderson WM would love to wind me up. John was a much valued Technician on the Installation Team during the West Midlands LGR the largest project of it's kind prior to WARC. It was a pleasure to have worked with him.

The funeral will be held on 3rd April. His widow, Joan, has expressed no preference as to flowers or donations.
