I've Got One as Well!

Hello John

I have asked a couple of people at Arqiva, but no luck so far. My unit is engraved "Test Cage Power Supply Type 306/15, made by Industrial Instruments Ltd, Bromley" I am aware that some of the ex-Weyhill Maintenance Unit people periodically look at the site, maybe one of them has a copy of the manual.

Did you get anywhere with the link I passed to you?

Steven....

Hi John,

Yes you are correct the bench PSU used in the 1970's was the transipack. Before that we had a set-up not un-like a UPS were a large battery was used to supplied the power and its charge rate (using an integral mains charger) was regulated against the power demand. It was all housed in a large grey metal box with two meters on the front, I can't remember the maker. The battery vented into the workshop, which was normal practice in those days. No H & S then!
