Family Reunion!
This months update comes a little later than planned as the last few days has seen a return of chaos and the house rearranged as my elder daughter, Rebecca, called in on her way back to Warrington after spending three months trekking around Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Peru! Ably assisted by her sister, Laura, there has been much laughter and discussion whilst catching up on her exploits in far off and often remote parts of the South American continent.
During her travels, we have kept in regular contact by text messaging, e-mail, 2p/minute telephone and free Skype calls. At times, it is still difficult to believe that much of what we now take for granted by the expansion of world-wide internet services and public hotspots, has only been with us for ten years or so!
What will then next ten years hold for us?
March Update
This months update includes many photographs and supporting material from Dave Singh, Technical Operations Manager, Arqiva, who must be congratulated on taking the initiative to record for posterity the final days at Kippax Depot before it was closed in March 2007 and the subsequent demolition in 2008 to make way for a new estate.
Thanks go to Alan Wood for sending in his article documenting the work of the Radiac Section in 1989 at a time when DTELS was being prepared for the commercial world and the future scale of its traditional Radiac work was uncertain because of the reduction in east/west international tension.
There are also a number of photos from Lawrie Atkinson's collection that have been added to Cranbrook Depot and Nackington Outstation galleries. Also, two photos from Chris Clarke capturing the picket line at Cheveley Depot in 1979.
Personal Recollections
Please keep sending in your articles, there is still much more to be told yet! Don't put off until tomorrow what you could do today, so get writing and then send them to the following e-mail address:

Steven....
