EQUIPMENT; VHF Radio & Test Equipment
This part of the library contains a collection of scanned photographs from a catalogue of 1930s-1970s VHF Receivers, Transceivers and Test Equipment used during that period. It is understood the catalogue in loose leaf A4 binders was given to Romsley Depot for safe keeping by an unknown source, perhaps going back to the 1970s.
The whereabouts of the equipment detailed in the catalogue is not known, but some items were listed as being sent at some point to the Chalk Pits Museum in Sussex, possibly on loan.
if anyone has information or thoughts as to the origins of the catalogue or what happened to the equipment in question, then please contact the webmaster or Dave Hicks G8EPR (Pye Radio Museum) who passed on these pictures to me.
Unfortunately, the photos are not good quality. However, they are a graphic reminder of bygone days when for some of the items valves were still in use before the advent or widespread adoption of transistor and integrated circuits.
