Introduction This section contains a collection of scanned photographs relating to the decommissioning of Analogue Radio Scheme equipment following the migration of Police Forces to the Airwave Digital Communication Network during the earlier part of this decade.
A lot of the now redundant equipment was procured, installed and maintained by the Directorate of Telecommunications during the 1980’s following WARC 79 and by and large remained in operational service for over twenty years.
Decommissioned equipment seen in this gallery include that withdrawn from:
- Derbyshire Police
- Northamptonshire Police
- West Midlands Police
