Roof Ground Plane

Due to the use of non-conducting fibreglass in the roof of this Austin Gypsy, earthing has been provided in the form of a ground plane using copper radials from each of the two antenna bases. This was a common sight in Fire Appliances which had wooden or fibreglass roofs.
